A beautiful and unusual, Early Victorian pine chest, on shaped ball feet. Comprises a central cupboard area, with drop down door, flanked by two 6 3/4″ deep drawers. Below is a 15 7/8″ deep bonnet drawer. Similar base drawers were often fitted in Victorian pine chests and were used to store ladies and girls bonnets. Drawers with all round dovetail constuction and thick timber drawer bases.
Fine panelled back. Wax finish. An excellent and interesting chest.
