A beautiful, restored, Mid-Victorian pine chest, on shaped ball feet. A fine large 4 drawer chest, with lower bonnet drawer, which incorporated the plinth. Similar base drawers were often fitted in Victorian pine chests and were used to store ladies and girls bonnets.
Drawers with all round dovetail construction and thick timber drawer bases. Drawer runners and bearers replaced where necessary, to ensure the drawers glide easily in their recesses. Small infil of timber to top as shown on the picture. A lovely old pine chest.
