A beautiful, restored, Victorian chest, on a plinth surround and squat ball feet. A superb condition chest. Replaced drawer runners where necessary, so drawers glide easily in their recesses. Drawers with all round dovetail construction and thick timber bases.
A huge lower drawer 15″ deep, is fitted to this chest, called a bonnet drawer, which incoporates the plinth and is attached to the drawer front. As the name suggests, were used by Victorian ladies, to store their bonnets.
The chest is fitted with Victorian ceramic knobs. Excellent panelled back. Wax finish. Mid brown colour, a fine, large, old pine chest.
