A superb, Mid Victorian chest of drawers, on bracket feet and plinth surround. Drawer bearers and runners replaced where necessary to ensure drawers glide easily in their recesses. Drawers with all round dovetail construction and timber bases, which have been re set into the drawer front grooves. The chest is fitted with a lower bonnet drawer, as the name suggests, Victorian ladies would use this drawer to store their bonnets.
Original birch knobs and escutcheons. Wax finish. A clean, excellent quality, Victorian chest.
