A charming set of four Victorian wooden chairs, each crafted with solid elm seats and beech surrounds typical of late‑19th‑century country furniture. The original shellac finish has worn beautifully over time, revealing the natural grain and warm colour variations in the elm. This gentle wear gives the chairs a soft sheen and an honest, lived‑in character that only true period pieces develop.
The beech frames remain sturdy , with a pleasing patina that complements the seats. All four chairs are structurally sound, comfortable, and ready for everyday use. Ideal around a farmhouse kitchen table, in a cottage dining room, or as accent seating in a period interior.
A genuine Victorian set with authentic finish, attractive grain, and timeless simplicity.
