A beautiful, restored, Victorian pine blanket box, circa 1880, on a shaped plinth surround. All round dovetail construction, nice, very wide base boards, in excellent condition. The interior has a small candle compartment and is fitted with the original strap hinges, carrying handle and original lock with key. We are unable to guarantee the continued working of the lock as the springs can suffer from metal fatigue, however they seem really strong and in fine working order.
A fine, large, old pine box, wax finish, that would look fine in a bedroom or living room setting.
